R v B (2021)  Prosecution. The defendant raped and sexually abused his stepdaughter in the family home between the ages of 6 and 13 years old, before moving onto his biological daughter when she was 8 years old. He was convicted after trial and was given a custodial sentence of 22 years with a 6-year extended licence.

R v T (2022) Successfully defended a former boyfriend of the complainant.  He was charged with raping her whilst she was sleeping, and then later removing her clothing and sexually abusing her. He was unanimously acquitted after trial.

R v B (2022) Prosecution. The defendant repeatedly raped his 12-year-old stepdaughter. He was discovered as his employees had concerns about his drinking, so installed a ‘dash-cam’ in his work van. This recorded highly sexualised exchanges between the defendant and the child. He was convicted after trial and was given a custodial sentence of 19 years with a 6-year extended licence.                    

Wolverhampton.  Successfully represented the respondent father at a fact-finding hearing. The baby had an unexplained injury to his arm, which the local authority stated could only have been caused by the parents.  Their expert evidence was however undermined, and the remaining evidence did not support this assertion. This resulted in the return of the baby to his parents.
