Acquittal for ex Arsenal player accused of rape

Former Arsenal footballer, Kerrea Gilbert has been acquitted after standing trial accused of raping a 17 year old female in Bristol.

Mr Kerrea, represented by Queen Square’s David Maunder, told a jury he had consensual sex with the teenager who later claimed it was forced.

Standing trial with Mr Kerrea and also accused of raping the teenager, was Nathan Doctrove.  He has also been acquitted.
