Third Six Vacancy

Application Deadline Monday 6th July 2020

Queen Square Chambers is a busy common law set based in the heart of Bristol, a city which has recently been voted the best place to live in the UK.

Having been established as one of the main sets of chambers in Bristol for more than 40 years, we pride ourselves on being friendly and approachable, as well as being committed to progressing the careers of our tenants. There is a strong collaborative atmosphere at Queen Square where both the clerks and counsel are committed to ensuring all junior members are supported in their practices.

We presently welcome applications for “third six” pupillages from pupils who will have completed compulsory pupillage and who wish to advance in any of our core practice areas.

To aid in any transition or move to chambers, we offer third six pupils rent at a reduced rate for six months and given the recent uncertainties due to COVID-19 are flexible on the start date.

Please apply by sending a covering letter and CV to James Bromige (james.bromige@qsc.law) along with a copy of your last 3 months’ work diary and any references that you may have available.  Deadline for applications is 6th July 2020.

If you have any queries relating to a third six experience at Queen Square Chambers, please take a look at our website (www.qsc.law) where Mike Blitz has put together a few words on the subject. Mike welcomes any requests for an ‘off the record’ conversation about life at the Bristol Bar, practising at Queen Square Chambers and Bristol in general. He will not be part of the recruitment process.

All applications will be treated in confidence.  Successful candidates will be selected on merit and in accordance with our equality and diversity policy.
