Ieuan Callaghan
Barrister
An outstanding advocate, Ieuan’s thorough preparation empowers him to persuasively put his case to the tribunal. He has deservedly earned a reputation as a Counsel capable to tackle cases beyond his call with his approachable yet authoritative manner earning the trust of his clients and those instructing.
Ieuan completed pupillage under James Tucker and Chris Smyth and was made a full tenant in October 2020. His pupillage focused on crime but he has experience across all practice areas including family law proceedings. During his training he was noting junior on the successful 4-month long prosecution of high profile Bristol grime artist ‘Solo 45’ and is well acquainted with the cases of utmost gravity.
Ieuan puts the client at the heart of everything he does. He is sensitive to the varying needs of lay and professional clients and is happy to engage at an early stage in proceedings.
Ieuan regularly undertakes cases with vulnerable clients and witnesses and adapts his approach as each case requires. He has extensive experience in the Youth Court and working with interpreters.
