Chambers is delighted to announce that The King has appointed James Bromige to be a Circuit Judge

Chambers is delighted to announce that The King has appointed James Bromige to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.  HHJ Bromige will be deployed to the Western Circuit from 2nd January 2026.

Charles Row KC, Head of Chambers said, “This is such terrific news for James and his family. We are incredibly proud and pleased for him. Through pupillage and practice, James was always accelerating and achieving and soon taking on judicial office, first as a Recorder in October 2020 and as a Employment Judge in October 2021.   He made immeasurable contributions to Chambers in so many spheres, not least as Head of the Employment team and Head of Pupillage. Many of our great junior tenants were found under his expert lead. We wish him every success and happiness, and although we will be so sorry to lose his enthusiastic presence and wise counsel from our happy set, our loss is Circuit’s gain.”
